Christopher Troxell is the founder of Healthcare Emergency Management Consulting, LLC, bringing over 20 years of experience in healthcare operations and emergency preparedness. His background includes leadership roles across the Emergency Department, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), hospital safety, emergency preparedness, and physician practice management.
Christopher has served as Director of Emergency Services and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at a Critical Access Hospital, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive emergency management program. His experience includes conducting Hazard Vulnerability Analyses, leading drills and exercises, managing regulatory compliance, and preparing organizations for accreditation and survey readiness.
He has worked closely with physicians, hospital leadership, and regional response partners to strengthen emergency preparedness programs and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements. His approach combines real-world operational experience with a deep understanding of compliance expectations.
Christopher has been recognized for leadership and innovation in healthcare, receiving multiple professional awards throughout his career, including being named a “4 Under 40” leader by the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network.
